Art for me is a way of expressing personality and releasing creative energy using masses of intense colour and texture. What can
become of a blank canvas is what fuels my passion for Art. My inspiration comes from the beauty and richness of things we often
take for granted and watching a piece of Art come to life before my eyes is an exciting experience. I would classify my collection as
modern contemporary in style, although I am constantly drawn to experimentation with other genres. Each piece of work will be
perceived differently by every viewer and that is truly, the beauty of Art.
My pieces are often spontaneously composed from a fleeting thought that later develops into an extreme visual, making it's way
onto the canvas. The techniques I use involve applying paint with brushes, sponges, painting knives, sticks and kitchen cutlery,
allowing me to keep each and every piece unique. The most fulfilling part for me is the unknown. Using my technique allows the
colours to blend and run in a direction that is often their own, creating originality and excitement. As the painting develops, a name
will begin to evolve which ultimately becomes the conclusive title for that piece of work.
I was born and raised in Adelaide South Australia and have been painting for several years. With a love of Art that stemmed from
early education, I continued to dabble in design and colour as a hobby, until I decided to sell my work as an emerging Artist. As well as
promoting on this website, I have a well equipped studio/gallery in St Peters Adelaide. Our city has proven to be a wonderful window
of exposure to the world of Art lovers and I am extremely fortunate to have been involved with various festivals as well as local and
